DOVER - Lillian C. Hamilton, of Westminster Village, Dover, died in her sleep on Sunday Jan. 8, 2012, with her family by her side. She was born Sept. 21, 1931, in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Henry Cooper and Anne Kerr Cooper. Mrs. Hamilton was educated in Philadelphia and Abington public schools and received nurses training at Brown Tech, Wilmington. She used her nurses training at Wilmington and Delaware hospitals, doctor offices, private duty, and the Decatur, Ala., Hospital. After she retired she worked as an EMT for a volunteer EMS squad in Sun City Center, Fla. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles Hamilton of Dover; daughter, Patricia Mclntyre; sons, Bruce and Robert Hamilton; sister Dorthea Sines; brother, William Kirk; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 13, 2011, at Gracelawn Cemetery Chapel, 2220 N. Dupont Highway, New Castle. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will follow.
