Lilburne 'Burn' Brogden, 62
DOVER - Lilburne "Burn" Brogden of Dover passed away suddenly Sunday, April 22, 2007, in his home. He was 62.
Mr. Brogden was born in Philadelphia on Nov. 7, 1944, to Robert and Alice (Moore) Brogden.
He was employed as a bus operator with SEPTA for 31 years, retiring in 2000. After moving to Delaware he became employed as a bus operator for DART for seven years, until his sudden passing.
Mr. Brogden served his country in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967, receiving the Army Commendation Medal for Heroism for his service in Vietnam.
He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God, where he was a beloved Sunday morning greeter and also a member of the men's choir.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Tracee Brogden; his children, Kevin Brogden and Antinette Brogden, both of Philadelphia, and Anton Brogden of Dover; his sister, Beverly Caswell of Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Kevin, Daja and Ashlyn; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be noon Friday in Calvary Assembly of God, 1104 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where friends may view two hours prior to the service.
Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Cemetery, Del. 8., Dover.
