Leslie enjoyed watching movies, watching ducks, horseback riding, going to auctions, playing with radio controlled cars with his grandsons and riding along the beach. In addition to his parents, a sister, Mary Grace Erwin and brother, Kenny Mooney, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Virginia D. (Coombes) Mooney; four children, Aric Pazdalski and fiancé Cat Salerni of Ellendale, Jason and Lisa Pazdalski of Wilmington, Crystal and David O'Neill of Dover, and Sarah and Kris Mclean of Smyrna; four grandsons, Seth and Cody Nott, Kyle and Kasey O'Neill; a granddaughter, Melissa; and a brother David and Irene Mooney of Georgetown. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
