LEROY PIPER JR., 51

HARRINGTON - Leroy Piper Jr., departed this life on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, in Bayhealth Medical Center, Milford. He was 51. Leroy was born Jan. 27, 1957, to the late Leroy Piper Sr. and the late Margaret Jean (Copes) Piper. He graduated from Milford High School in 1975. He was employed at Mil-Del Corp., Milford, for 25 years. Leroy enjoyed bowling, baseball, football and training horses. He is survived by two sons, Leroy Givens of Milford, and Dennis Henry of Wilmington; one daughter, Sheena Givens of Milford; one grandson, Devon Miller Jr. of Milford; one brother, Tony (Betty Jean) Hazzard of Slaughter Neck; two sisters, Paulette (Everett) Bowe and Celestine Piper, both of Dover; a devoted companion, Cherylene Brown of Harrington; a dear friend, Cynthia Givens; and a host of other relatives and friends. A viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Milford. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church, Rt. 8, Dover, where friends may call two hours prior. Burial will be at Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
