Leona McDuffie, 79 MILFORD - Leona McDuffie, of Milford, departed this life June 28, 2008, in her home. She was 79. She is preceded in death by her husband, James McDuffie; her mother, Marguerite Jones; and brother, Charles Warfield. She leaves to cherish her loving memories a daughter, Deirdre Jones-Warfield and her life's partner Shirley Jones-Warfield of Arizona; one son, Jivonne Powell of Miford; two foster daughters, Wanda Singleton and Brenda Siloils; three stepdaughters Ada Holt, JamesZena Riddick and Angel Riddick; six step-grandchildren Gina Riddick, Terrill Riddick, Kenisha Riddick, D'mitri Riddick, Marzera Riddick and Keshawn Riddick; two step-great grandchildren, Jamal and Dimiri Riddick; one sister-in-law, Helen Warfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Milford. Services will be 5 p.m. Tuesday in Bethel AME Church, Milford, where friends may view two hours prior. Burial will be private.
