DOVER - Leo S. Hartnett passed away Friday, January 1, 2016 at Delaware Hospice. He was 76. Leo was born Oct. 17, 1939 in Dover to the late Margaret (Stuart) and John R. Hartnett, Sr. He grew up on the family farm then worked as a laborer and also at Spences Bazaar. Leo loved country music and could be heard playing his guitar quite often. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Charles E. Sr., John Franklin, Sr. and John R. Jr. Leo is survived by his brother, Herbert J. (Jeannette) of Wyoming; and many nephews and nieces. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901.
