Lelia June Brice, 72

ROCK HALL, Md. - Lelia June Brice of Rock Hall died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at her home. She was 72.

Mrs. Brice was born in Chester, Pa., daughter of the late Emerson T. and Lorena "Noel" Dykes.

She graduated from Wye High School, Salisbury.

Mrs. Brice was a branch manager for Peoples Bank, retiring in 1997 after 20 years.

She was a member of the Soroptomist Club and Wesley Chapel Church, Rock Hall.

Mrs. Brice's hobbies included quilting and sewing, growing flowers, traveling, crabbing, fishing and riding bikes.

She also loved Christmas and getting together with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wallace Dykes and Robert Dykes; and one sister, Virginia Byrd.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Brice of Rock Hall; three sons, David W. Kirwan and his wife Kelly, Donald W. Kirwan and Thomas E. "Scooter" Kirwan, all of Rock Hall; two sisters, Gladys "Happy" Seaton and her husband Jack of Princess Anne and Ruth Dryden and her husband Morris of Salisbury; two brothers, Herman Dykes and his wife Frances of Princess Anne and F. Theodore "Jake" Dykes and his wife Marcia of Great Falls, Va.; five grandchildren, Jacob M. Kirwan, Angela J. Kirwan, Joseph W. Kirwan, Michael L. Kirwan and Willard E. Chance; one great-grandchild; two stepchildren, Sandra S. Supers of Church Hill and C. Carter Brice of Centreville; and two dogs, Dusty and Smokey.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Wesley Chapel Church, Rock Hall. A visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Chestertown.

Contributions may be sent to Kent Hospice Foundation, 100 Brown St., Chestertown, MD. 21620.

Arrangements by Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown.
