Lawrence J. Breeding, 91 HICKMAN - Lawrence J. Breeding of Hickman, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, at his sons home in Bridgeville. He was 91. Mr. Breeding was born in Hickman on July 23, 1917. He was the son of the late Edgar Breeding and Ella Hayman Breeding. Living in the mid Delaware area all of his life, he farmed in Hickman and sold produce at the Wilmington Farmer's Market for 50 years. He also had a herd of dairy cattle for 30 years. Mr. Breeding's first wife, Florence Ann Patchett Breeding, died in 1974. His second wife, Jeannette Cannon Breeding, died in 2006. In addition to his wives, he was predeceased by one brother, Russell Breeding. Mr. Breeding is survived by his son, Donald L. Breeding and his fiancé, Kathi Kinsey of Bridgeville; a daughter, Janice Ann Smith and her husband Dempsey of Bridgeville; two brothers, Winnie Breeding of Hickman and Alton C. Breeding of Andrewsville; two grandchildren, Becky Griffin and Kathy Tull; and four great-grandchildren, Brook Tull, Ashley Tull, Danielle Griffin and Brett Griffin. A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the Moore Funeral Home, 12 S. Second St., Denton, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
