Laurence Lutrel Turner

NANTICOKE, Md. - Laurence Lutrel Turner departed this life peacefully on Dec. 1, 2017.
Laurence was born on Jan. 7, 1927. He attended and graduated from Wicomico Public schools. After high school he enlisted into the U.S. Army, and was honorable discharged. Besides serving in the army he was a CNA, waterman, and mechanic. Laurence loved to sing, shoot pool, fish, and eat. He had a great sense of humor and loved to help out anyone that he could. Laurence was a God Fearing man that prayed every day.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ada Turner; his siblings, Hester Jones, Elizabeth Turner, Clarence Turner, Joseph Turner, Samuel Turner, James Turner; and ex-wife, Emma Lee Turner; wife, Hilda Showell Turner; stepsons, Larry Bell, Harold Dickerson; granddaughter, Antoinette Dickerson; and grandson, Jason Mills.
He leaves to mourn two daughters, LaRose and Lynette Turner of Cambridge Md.; a step-daughter, Karen Bell of Salisbury Md.; one son, Lawrence Turner Jr. (Corinthia) Seaford; 16 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The homegoing service will be Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at 1 p.m. held at Citadel of Hope Deliverance Ministry, INC., located at 25371 Honeysuckle Dr., Seaford, DE 19973. The viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Interment will be at a later date at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery (Beulah) in Hurlock, Md.
