MAGNOLIA - Lauren Kevin Burris passed away on May 30, 2016. He was born to Marlene Griffith (Thorpe) and George Burris on Sept. 19, 1959. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Orlando Burris. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Burris; daughter, Toni Haynes (Benson) and her husband, Roy; daughter, Sandra Rawlins (Ronaldo); and son, Thomas Jenkins. Additionally a special friend, Ronnita Quail and her daughter, Latashia Quail-Mapp, and her husband, Vandyke. His three sisters, Sheila Moore, Camilla Williams, Catherine Jackson and husband, Eric; three brothers, Calvin Burris, Bryant Burris, and Stanley Burris and his wife, Mary. He has eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A viewing will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, located 717 W Division St, Dover, DE, 19904. Home-going services will begin at 3 p.m in the same location.
