DOVER - Laura E. Howard passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.
Laura was born June 29, 1962 in Dover to Betty M. Erdle McWilliams and the late James A. McWilliams.
She received her Master's in Education from Wilmington University and started her teaching career at Alan Frear Elementary and for the last 21 years she worked at Stokes Elementary School. Laura received Teacher of the Year in 2002-2003. She was on the Board for the Schwartz's Center. Laura loved music of all kinds.
Laura is survived by her mother Betty McWilliams of Dover; husband of 6years, Brian J. Howard of Dover; sons, Patrick Spence of Dover, Ray Bryant, Brynn Boiko (Alex) of Severna Park, Md., Megan Robbins (Bruce) of Hopewell, Va. and Colin Howard of Newark, Del.; sister, Vicki M. Stephens (John) of Havre de Grace, Md. and Julie A. Ellwanger (Virgil) of Lewes, Del.; grandchildren, Lilly, Regan, Elyse and Stefan.
Memorial service will be held 2p.m., Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017 at Westminster Village Community Center, 1175 McKee Road, Dover. Friends may call from 1:30 ~ 2.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
