Larraine Elizabeth Smith, 89

BRIDGEVILLE - Larraine Elizabeth Smith, of Bridgeville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, in Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown. She was 89. Larraine was born on April 15, 1919, in Highland, Pa. She enjoyed camping, traveling and being around her family. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Drums, Pa. and Federalsburg, Md. Larraine was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Rose Daubert; and her loving husband of 67 years, Elwood Eugene Smith. She is survived by three sons and three daughters with their spouses, Dorothy and Jack Melson of Bridgeville, Bernice and Bob Hayes of Hamburg, Pa., Robert and Marty Smith of Federalsburg, Md., Kenneth and Jean Smith of Hamburg, Pa., Elaine Rust of Portland, Ore., and Charles and Marlena Smith of Bridgeville; two sisters, Evelyn Gabriel of Hazelton, Pa., and Thelma Kalenevitch of Hummelstown, Pa.; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St., Greenwood. Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home in Hamburg, Pa. Friends may call one hour before the funeral. Interment will be held in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Reading, Pa.
