LaJune W. Eddy, 79 MILFORD - LaJune W. Eddy, of Milford, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at Milford Center. She was 79. LaJune was born on Dec. 20, 1930, in Homer, Ga., daughter of the late Henry and Ethel (Cunningham) Wood. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working on various crafts projects and embroidery. Mrs. Eddy was a member of the Greenwood Senior Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Veal; two brothers, Edwin Wood and John Wood; and two sisters, Georgia Cash and Mildred Wood. She is survived by two sons, Michael R. Veal of Milford, and Rodney M. Veal of Greenwood; two daughters, Patricia Ann Dixon of Milford and Crystal L. Roe of Lakeland, Fla.; a brother, Jack Wood of Cordele, Ga.; five sisters; Gwendolyn Lovett of Macon, Ga., Virginia Martin of Alto, Ga., Jeanette Simmons of Baldwin, Ga., Dorothy Tatarim of Birmingham, Ala., and Polly Ann Hooke of Belle Glade, Fla.; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at the Milford Community Cemetery, North Walnut Street, Milford. Burial will follow the service there. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church, 6062 Old Shawnee Rd, Milford, DE, 19963. Arrangements handled by Rogers Funeral Home, Milford.
