L. Madeline Mumford, 72

MILLSBORO - L. Madeline Mumford died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at home surrounded by her family. She was 72. She is survived by her six children, Deborah Hollowell and husband Whit, K. Grant, Aaron K. and wife Denise, Bruce A., Agena Atkinson and husband Jimmie, and Charles O. and wife Merissa; four grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Mumford and Shirley Nickerson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S Washington Street, Millsboro, where friends may call at noon. Friends may also call Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Edward Wilkins will officiate the service. Burial will be in Millsboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Children's Miracle Network, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
