LAUREL - Kristine Collins died at her home in Laurel on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019. She was born in Wilmington on Feb. 10, 1951 to Barbara Anne and F. Burton Collins.
She graduated from Seaford High School in 1969. She obtained her bachelor's and masters' degrees from Wilmington University.
She retired from Delaware Technical and Community College southern campus where she had served as Financial Aid Director for more than 25 years. After her retirement, she continued to serve as a consultant for all four campuses of Delaware Tech.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Pinder, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Kim S. Cloutier (Fran) of Dover; her nephew, Matthew (Brittany) of Pottstown, Pa.; her three special angels, Addison, Tyler and Grayson Cloutier of Pottstown, Pa.; her two stepsons, Craig Pinder (Lisa) of Collegeville, Pa., Eric Pinder of Wilmington; and her two best friends, Ellen Kirk of Franklin, Tenn. and Debra Smethurst Schreiber of Clearwater, Fla.
She was an avid reader and loved to travel. She was a great cook and a creative artist in many different media. Her greatest passion was gardening in her yard. She loved to spend time with her many friends and family.
She volunteered at Good Samaritan in Laurel, DE.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Good Samaritan and Delaware Hospice.
