Kristina C. Masten, 81
Kristina C. Masten passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at her home. Kristina was born in Warsaw, Poland to the late Eugeniz Chylek and Maria C. Hoffman.
Kristina was raised and spent most of her childhood in Germany. During the 1960s, she met her first husband, James Faulkner while he was in the Army. When he returned to the states, Kristina went with him and they were stationed in Alabama. They lived there for around 20 years. After the passing of James, she then married Fred Masten and moved to Dover in 1982. Kristina thrived as a homemaker and seamstress. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dover. She was exceptionally dedicated to her church and helped with serving others. Kristina and Fred even went on a one year mission trip to Vancouver, Canada where they enjoyed teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. When she was not taking care of her family or taking care of her church, she enjoyed exploring her family's genealogy, cooking and having a pristine house.
In addition to her parents, Kristina was preceded in death by husband, Frederick "Fred" Masten and first husband, James Faulkner.
Kristina is survived by children, Marianna and the late Sydney Bondurant of Laurel, Patricia and Jeffrey Haxton of Decatur, AL, Lorili and Richard Semple and Robert and Andrea Masten, all of Dover, Frederick R. and Amy Masten of Lincoln, Wesley P. and Vikki Masten and John M. and Michelle Masten, all of Burrsville, Christopher D. and Lisa Masten of Greensboro, Md., Mark A. and Lisa Masten of Arco, ID and Steven K. and Donna Masten of Centreville, Md; 45 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
Services will be private, but family and friends are invited to join the family through a livestream that can be found on the Torbert Funeral Chapels' Facebook page. The service will be on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at noon.
Letters of condolence may be sent and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Delaware Hospice.
