Kenneth Arthur Baker, 61Kenneth Arthur Baker passed away unexpectedly in Aurora, Colorado on Friday, June 5, 2020. Ken or Kenny, how he liked to be known as, was 61 years old.
Ken was born on May 24, 1959, in Elizabethtown, N.Y. He was born to the parents of Arthur and Pearl Baker of N.Y. Later, moving to North Carolina, he attended and graduated from Lenoir High School class of '77. After graduating, he then entered the United States Air Force. He gave our country over 20 years of service; stationed multiple times throughout the World, deploying numerous times for Desert Storm and other TDYs, before retiring from his military duties. He then continued to help others working in management for many years for Aetna US Healthcare and finally with Security Central.
Ken was a very lively, happy, funny and loving person to be around. He had a way of being a magnet to others who met him. He was known for his love of the Washington Redskins. Ken was also passionate about his family, fishing, action movies, martial arts, and traveling the World in his free time. He was a magnificent father, grandfather, brother and a lead by example man. His whole life he strived to help people in any manner he could, personally and professionally. He was known to all to be the go to guy when help was needed.
Ken is survived by his sons, Gregory Baker and wife, Melanie, and David Baker. He had one grandson, Phoenix Baker; brother, David Baker, and wife, Kitty, and sister, Janet Taylor and husband, Ken; niece, Kimberly Lyons. He will be missed by his former wives. Ken was predeceased by parents, Arthur and Pearl Baker.
A private viewing will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934. A private memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 2 p.m., at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro Delaware.
