HARRISBURG, Pa. - Keith Douglas Kobb, 54, of Harrisburg, Pa., passed away Tuesday in Harrisburg. Born March 13, 1957, in Lodi, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles Kobb and Mary Bell (Barnhart) Kobb, of Dover, Del., and was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School in Dover. He was a Navy veteran and had worked for the Red Roof Inn, Chesapeake, Va., and Harrisburg. He was a former member of Messiah United Methodist Church in Chesapeake, where he was a member of the choir; the sound engineer; the Sunday School Superintendent and served as an usher when needed; and was currently a member of Linglestown Life United Methodist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Virginia M. "VA" (Tharp) Kobb; two sons, Keith D. (and his wife, Stephanie) Kobb, II and Michael P. Kobb; two brothers, Charles Kobb of Kent, Ohio, and Phillip Kobb of Kenton, Del.; his sister, Bonnie Hunt of Felton, Del.; two grandchildren, Brandon M. Kobb and Paiton Madden; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, in his church, 1430 Linglestown Road, Linglestown, Pa. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday. Contributions may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society or to Goodwill Industries. W. Orville Kimmel Funeral Home, Inc., Harrisburg, is handling arrangements.
