CAMDEN - Kathleen H. Welde, age 90, of Camden, Del. died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at her residence. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Viola Gill. Mrs. Welde had moved from Saylorsburg, Pa. to Camden, Del. in 1998 and had been an active member of Holy Cross Parish in Dover where she served as a member of the Altar Guild and the Adoration Society. She had been a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who had especially enjoyed the time spent with her family. Mrs. Welde had been a member of the Red Hat Society, and in her quieter moments she enjoyed cooking, gardening and card playing, especially Bridge. Her passing will leave a void in the many lives that she had touched. Besides her parents, Mrs. Welde was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Welde in 2001; along with her brother, John F. Gill; and sister, Joann Corcoran. Mrs. Welde is survived by her six loving children, John of South Carolina; Stephen of Camden, Del., Virginia Kirk of Boise, Idaho, Georgeanne Welde of Silver Spring, Md., William of Colorado Springs, Colo,, and Marian Nave of Centreville, Md. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St. Dover, Del. Interment will be private in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. Family suggests donations in her memory to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy. Dover, DE 19901.
