Kathleen E. (Sheats) Heverin, 59
CLAYTON - Kathleen E. (Sheats) Heverin of Clayton died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, in her home, surrounded by her family, after a long illness. She was 59.
Kathleen was born June 12, 1947, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Raymond E. Sheats and Florence A. Roop Artman.
She worked at Leads Traveler Wear in Clayton and the Modern Maturity Center of Dover. She also was an adult foster care provider for home-bounds until her illness.
Kathleen enjoyed going to the slots, playing cards and being with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents that raised her, Augustus E. and Elizabeth S. Sheats; an aunt, Mary E. Sheats; and a nephew, Delbert L. Sheats.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Sidney W. Heverin; an aunt, Genevieve M. Sheats, who lived with her; a daughter who was her caretaker and a son-in-law, Teena L. and Ralph S. Heverin Sr. of Dover; a son and daughter-in-law, John W. Morris Sr. and Tammy L. Morris of Felton; her stepchildren, Shirley and John Wheat, Cindy Berry and Chris Underwood, Theresa Heverin, Mark and Nadine Heverin, Timothy Heverin, Phillip Rowan and Bruce Rowan; three aunts raised as sisters, Elsie Pearce, Frances Davis and Emily Pennington; her in-laws, Robert and Barbara Heverin, Warren and Becky Heverin, Phyllis and Joe Jolly, Helen Duffy, Mary Grace and Dave Heverin; four grandchildren, John W. Morris Jr. of Harrington, David E. Valdesere Jr. of Dover, Melanie L. Grier of Felton and Heather M. Heverin of Dover; a great-granddaughter, Lacey Marie Morris; 17 step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren; her close and good friends, Linda Hart of Clayton and Gloria Harris of Dover; and many people who she loved and enjoyed very much.
Services will be noon Friday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call two hours earlier.
Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
