Katherine Dunford Willin, 83

DUNDEE, Fla. - Katherine Dunford Willin went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 10 2007, in her home under the care of a local hospice program after a struggle with cancer. She was 83.

Katherine grew up in Dundee, graduated from Haines City High School and in 1946 moved to her husband's home in Bridgeville, Del. where she was a homemaker and office manger for Scott's Furniture Co.

After retirement, she returned to Dundee where she was a faithful member of Baptist Temple.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Eva Dunford; husband, Caleb Layton Willin II; daughter, Kathryn Victoria Willin; and grandson, Paxton Kaufman Smoot; and her sister, Bernice Evelyn Stubbs of Plymouth died in 1960.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryll Lee Willin of Berkeley, Calif.; son, Caleb Layton Willin III (Mike and Sandy) of Laurel, Del.; a brother, Ralph Dunford; a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Annabelle Dunford, all of Dundee; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews; and great friends who loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 p.m. Friday with a memorial service to follow from 2-3 p.m. in Parsell Funeral Homes, the Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws St., Bridgeville.

Instead of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice for Polk County, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823.
