Katherine C. Boyle, 84

SMYRNA - Katherine C. Boyle of Smyrna passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007, in her daughter's home in Smyrna. She was 84.

She was born on Jan. 9, 1923, in Swissvale, Pa., daughter of the late Cornelius and Alice (Backey) Caldwell.

Mrs. Boyle worked at Gordon's Jewelers for 17 years. She enjoyed dancing. She loved her dog Seamus.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis W. Boyle in 1994.

She is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Kerry and Mary Ann Boyle of Dover; two daughters and a son-in-law, Keene and Buddy Lloyd of Smyrna and Kim Ridley of Smyrna; grandchildren, Clay and his wife, Kristi Lloyd of Smyrna, Jazz Davis of Newark, Kelly Roscoe and her husband, Ryan of Texas, Jesse Ridley of Camden, Jennifer Cox, Tim Cox and his wife, Sharon and Liz Tome, all of Pennsylvania; great-grandchildren, Connor Davis, Dezi Ridley, Nathan Roscoe, C.J. Lloyd; and Dee Simon, a lifelong friend in Pennsylvania.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flower, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 425 North DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
