DOVER - Karen "Sue" Barmer passed away on Nov. 8, 2016 at home with her daughter by her side. Mrs. Barmer had most recently been a receptionist for the office of Dr. Dave in Dover. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Harrington and the American Legion in Harrington. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren. She had a heart of gold and an infectious laugh. Any moment spent with her was never a dull moment. Karen will truly be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Amy L. Barmer Johnson and her husband Jason, with whom she lived, Robert Wayne Barmer, Jr. of Harrington, Mark Barmer and his wife Brenda of Colorado, and Sherri Blackburn of Massachusetts; her mother, Catherine Louise Butler of Harrington; sisters, Carol Walther of St. Georges and Marie Winkler of Harrington; and her grandchildren, Ava and Austin. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Barmer in 2009; her sister, Catherine "Kitty" Dare; her father, Carroll Satterfield; and her step-father, Earl Butler. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
