Karen Ann Henry

Karen Ann Henry passed away, Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019 at Kent General Hospital.
Mrs. Henry was born April 16, 1941 in Milwaukee, Wis. to the late James Garfield and Bernice Torbert Garfield.
She served in the United States Air Force where she met her husband and they married right after her service in 1963. Mrs. Henry was a Civil Service employee at several bases, including Dover Air Force Base, where she worked as a medical transcriptionist. Mrs. Henry enjoyed bowling and traveling for tournaments, as well as playing bingo and spending time at the casino.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Henry in 2012.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Henry and his wife Amy, and PJ Henry and his wife Krystal all of Dover; brother, James Garfield and his wife Jean of Mequon, Wis.; sister, Kathie Pomeroy and her husband Daniel of Mukwonago, Wis.; grandchildren, Paige, Jason, Brianne, Brandon and Kyle; great granddaughter, Siddalee; and niece, Jackie Garfield.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, 2019 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Suite 800, Washington, D.C. 20004.
