Jurgen P. Roloff, 61

HARRINGTON - Jurgen P. Roloff, of Harringinton, died Friday, June 6, 2008, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. He was 61.

Mr. Roloff was born in Velpe, Germany, the son of the late Albert and Gerda Roloff.

Mr. Roloff was self-employed as an auto mechanic and was a member of Milford Moose Lodge. He loved going to auctions and was an avid soccer fan.

Mr. Roloff was friend to all, extremely funny and could make you laugh when you should be crying. He was very happy with his life, very smart and when he spoke everyone listened. He was very witty, never at a loss for words and he always had an answer.

Mr. Roloff loved the great outdoors, traveled everywhere and especially loved road trips. He never met a stranger. Two favorite quotes of his were, "I'll check you later, make it happen!" and "If I die tomorrow, I died happy." Mr. Roloff believed in doing things his way and sometimes he made you just shake your head.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Roloff was preceded in death by his wife, Angelika (Schulte) Roloff.

He is survived by a son, Steven P. Roloff and his wife Kristin of Ronkonkoma, N.Y.; two daughters, Bettina U. Roloff and her finance Ken Bendfeldt, of Harrington, and Claudia V. Martin and her husband Michael of Midlothian, Va.,; one brother, Wolfgang Roloff, of Germany; one sister, Maianne Roloff, of Germany; and one grandchild.

Memorial services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington, where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be private.

Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington.
