VIOLA - Juline "Judy" Giles passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 surrounded by family at home in Viola, Delaware.
Born on December 20, 1937 in Bishopville, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Sing Lonnie Hinson and the late Mae Nell Hinson. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She had worked for Nichols Department Store of Dover as the Assistant Store Manager for 17 years. Judy then worked for several home healthcare offices until age 74. Known for her constant smile and easy-going attitude, she enjoyed the simple pleasures of spending time with family and friends. She could easily be convinced to join in a sing-along or dance when she heard her favorite tunes. She will be most remembered as an extraordinary, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always positive and supportive.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Paul Giles Sr.; and her brother, Lonnie Laverne Hinson.
She is survived by her three children, Kathy Gallagher and her husband Alex of Hartly, Jesse Paul Giles Jr. of Hartly, and Terrenna D. Giles-Brown of Viola; two siblings, Annelle Orphan and Brenda Garris of South Carolina; six grandchildren, Shaney Gallagher, Jennifer Diehl and her husband Bill, Amanda Gaul and her husband Brian, Terrenna Cook and her husband Matt, Renay Yeomans and her husband Bryan, Jesse Little and her husband Alex; ten great grandchildren, Sebastian, Gunner, Logan, Sadie, Parker, Noah, Kensington, Mason, Jesse and Lonnie.
Services will be held 12 Noon, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or Modern Maturity Center, 1121 Forrest Avenue, Dover, DE 19904.
