Judith 'Judy' Ann Dill, 69

DOVER - Judith "Judy" Ann Dill, of Dover, passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, in Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 69. She was born on Sept. 8, 1939, in East Rutherford, N.J., daughter of the late Henry and Henrietta (Koppenaal) Peters. Judy was a bank teller out of high school in East Rutherford. She also was a sales clerk at various stores and also enjoyed doing mission work around the world, Africa and Europe. She volunteered at Christian Schools, knitted sweaters and afghan's for premature babies at Kent General Hospital and enjoyed helping others. Judy liked to cook and baby-sit. She was a member of the Gideon's Auxiliary, the Problem Pregnancy Center, Dover and the Modern Maturity Center. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, John Peters and a sister, Ruth Peters. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 plus years, Ralph T. Dill; a son, John T. Dill and his wife Gwen of Philipsburg, Pa.; a daughter, Coleen Gurkas and her husband Joe of Kearny, N.J.; two brothers, Billy Peters of Georgia, Henry "Hank" Peters of Toms River, N.J.; and a sister, Henrietta Wright of East Rutherford, N.J.; and three grandchildren, Joseph Paul Gurkas and Daniel Gurkas both of Kearny, N.J. and Sarah E. Dill of Philipsburg, Pa., and several cousins. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Dover Bible Chapel, 6877 Westville Rd, Hartly. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the church where friends may also call two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800 Nashville, TN 37214 or His Mansion, P.O. Box 40, Hillsboro New Hampshire 03244.
