Joyce Lee Husfelt, 59

MIDDLETOWN - Joyce Lee Husfelt of Middletown passed away Sunday, April 29, 2007, in her home surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 59.

Mrs. Husfelt was born and raised in Cecilton, Md.

She married her husband, Butch, in 1967, and moved to Middletown where she raised her three children.

Mrs. Husfelt was a gifted homemaker who enjoyed life to the fullest. She had a gift for decorating and shared her talent with her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, her beach house, spending time with family and friends and holidays especially Christmas. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

She was the daughter of the late Catherine Stiteler and Preston Cahall Sr. and the sister of the late William "Roy" Cahall.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, William "Butch" Husfelt; three children, Dina Fleming and her husband, Scott, of Elkton, Md., Danielle Arrants and her husband, Scott, of Elkton and Greg Husfelt and his girlfriend, Deena, of Middletown; seven grandchildren, Anthony, Hannah, Brandon, Dalton, Madison, Brooke and Nathan; two sisters, Emma Jane Cosner of Bryson City, N.C., who was also her caregiver, and Linda Funk of North East, Md.; a brother, Preston Cahall Jr. of Earleville, Md.; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and her dog, Winnie.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. Francis Xavier Church, Church Road, Warwick, Md.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 North Broad St., Middletown.

Burial will be in Old Bohemia Cemetery, Warwick.
