Joyce Jean Lamb, 71

MILTON - Joyce Jean Lamb, of Milton, died Tuesday Dec. 9, 2008, in Beebe Hospital, Lewes. She was 71. Mrs. Lamb was originally from Frederick, Okla., born to the late Bert and Geneva Rock. She graduated from Frederick High School. Mrs. Lamb and her family moved to Delaware (DAFB) in 1968 and made Delaware their home. She earned her associates degree in business management from Delaware Technical Community College. She retired from the Blood Bank of Delaware in 2002. Mrs. Lamb was a member of the Georgetown Chapter of AARP. Mrs. Lamb was preceded in death by her husband, CMSGT William B. Lamb (ret.) and her son, Charles E. Lamb. She is survived by her daughters, LaVonda Lamb of Milton, Annette Lamb Sweet of Chincoteague, Va. and Pam Pratt of Felton; her sister, Tina Smith of Arkansas and grandchildren, Carly, Jake and Andy. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
