EASTON, Md. - Joshua Ellegood Bullock Jr. passed away Thursday, July 19, 2007, in the cardiac wing of Washington Hospital Center. He was 75.
Mr. Bullock was born on July 19, 1932, in Wilmington, son of the late Joshua and Mary Bullock.
He grew up in Harrington, where he also attended school. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor"s degree in civil engineering.
He worked for Penn Railroad from 1955 to 1967. In 1967 he founded Bullock Construction, which began in Prince George"s County and moved to Anne Arundel County and Talbot County. He owned and operated Bullock Construction until 1991; he continued to act as a consultant for the business.
Mr. Bullock enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, baseball and playing cards. He was also a Mason in the Milford Masonic Lodge 9.
He is survived by his son, Joshua E. Bullock III and his wife, Erin of Gambrills; a daughter, Michele Bullock of Easton; and three grandchildren, Paige, Layne and Tristan.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, P.A., 106 Shamrock Road, Chester, MD 21619.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Ashbury United Methodist Church, 200 Weiner Ave., Harrington, DE 19952.
Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington, Del.
