Josephine P. Manlove, 92

ODESSA - Josephine P. Manlove of Odessa passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 92.

Josephine was born July 6, 1915, to Edward and Minnie Price.

She lived in the Odessa area most of her life and was a member of St. Paul"s United Methodist Church, Odessa.

Josephine loved people, flowers, poodles and life itself. Everyone who knew Josephine fell in love with her. She adored her family very much and was a hard worker. Josephine was a humble, kind and caring lady with an enormous heart.

Josephine was a passionate Phillies fan.

She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3792 Ladies Auxiliary.

Josephine retired from the former Leeds in Clayton.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Paul Manlove; her son, Gilmore Reed; and two brothers, Emil and Edward Price.

Josephine is survived by two brothers, Charles E. Price of Middletown and Nolan T. Price of Camden; a sister, E. Mae Young of Woodbury Heights, N.J.; three grandchildren, Paul Reed of Bear, Kelly Stanley and her husband Mark of Middletown, and John Reed and his wife Valerie of Middletown; two great-grandchildren, Lauren Stanley and Morgan Stanley; and Gloria Walker of Milton, whom she raised. She will be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, with the Rev. Karin Tunnell officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.

Burial will be at Old Drawyer"s Cemetery, Odessa.
