Eaton, 79 SMYRNA - Josephine Mahaffey Eaton passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Josephine was born on August 25, 1934 in West Jefferson, North Carolina, daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Eller) Mahaffey. She enjoyed life as a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Frank Eaton, a daughter Norma Jean Christensen and a son Roy Lee Eaton, Sr. She is survived by three sons Jerry Eaton of Henderson, MD, William Eaton of Leipsic, and Robert Eaton of Smyrna, three daughters Goldy Eaton of Minnesota, Bonnie Keeble of Marydel, MD and Barbara McGinnis of Hartly, four brothers Robert Mahaffey, Wayman Mahaffey, Mark Mahaffey and Mike Mahaffey and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, March 6 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
