CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Josephine "Polly" Lloyd, of Chestertown, died Thursday, June 23, 2011, at the Chester River Hospital Center in Chestertown. She was 82. Josephine Lloyd was born May 3, 1929, in Sudlersville, the daughter of the late Harvey Boyles and Martha "Casey" Boyles. After school she worked on the family farm for several years. She married Jack Lloyd at age 18 and the two have been together ever since. She enjoyed dancing, flower gardening and farming but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two daughters, Diane Lloyd and Maryann Lockwood; two sisters, Julie Watson and Ida Buckingham; and five brothers, James, Herbert, Johnny, Benton, and Henry Boyles. She is survived by her husband, Jack Lloyd of Chestertown; two daughters, Peggy Rose ofMillington, Kathy Lloyd of Chestertown; one son, Chucky Lloyd of Rock Hall; one sister, Betty Burris of Kenton, Del.; eight grandchildren, George Taylor Jr. of Still Pond, Trisha Brady of Chestertown, Tommy Taylor of Chestertown, Robby Walters of Chestertown, LisaGardener of Chestertown, Andy Lloyd of Rock Hall, Diane Dankanyin of Delaware, Missy Cannon of Chestertown; and 23 great-grandchildren, Robert Taylor, Grace Taylor, Joe Brady, MaKayla Brady, Morgan-Tiffani Brady, Cheyenne Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Hillery Reedy, Haley Walters, Kelsey Walters, Brianna Walters, Carissa Gardner, Victoria Drury, Vincent Drury, Aryn Lloyd, Ally Lloyd, Andi Lloyd, Brian Lloyd, Dustin Dankanyin, Tesla Dankanyin, Sierra Whaland, Carli Kennedy, and Colton Kennedy. Services will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington, MD 21620. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be held in Crumpton Cemetery in Crumpton, following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the Crumpton Vol. Fire Dept. P.O. Box 68, Crumpton, MD 21628.
