Josephine Kruger

GEORGETOWN - Josephine "Joann" Kruger passed away on Thursday, Jul. 6, 2017 at home.
Josephine was born in Georgetown, the daughter of the late Chester J. and Beatrice (Elliott) Rementer.
She was the owner and operator of the Garden Spot Florist and Greenhouse for many years. She was also an accountant for Cargill for ten years.
She was a member of the Wesley U.M. Church, Pocahontas, Lions Club in Millsboro, the Midland Grange Lodge #27 and several other organizations.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin "Buzz" Kruger on Nov. 4, 2015.
She is survived by her daughter, Trudy Kruger; one brother, David J. Rementer and wife Ruth; one nephew, David J. Rementer, Jr. and wife Leslie; and two nieces, Dawn Elliott and husband John all of Georgetown and Pam Parker and husband Bob of Seaford.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jul. 10, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after 12 p.m. Interment will be held in Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
