Josephina 'Jean' Buono, 80
CAMDEN - Josephina "Jean" Buono, of Camden, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, in Bay Health Medical Center in Dover. She was 80. Born in New York, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Antonetta Correnti. For most of her adult life she had worked as a Medical Transcriber involving Pharmaceuticals. She had moved from Sayerville, N.J. to the Dover area in 1982. Mrs. Buono had been a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and had served with the Foster Grand Parents Program until developing health issues. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was especially fond of Arts and Crafts and in her quieter moments she enjoyed time spent with her dogs. Mrs. Buono will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Buono, who died in 1991; along with her two brothers, Richie and Julio Correnti. Mrs. Buono is survived by her son, Victor Giangrant and his wife Lynn of Dover; her daughter, Donna Davidson and her husband Charles (Chuck) of Dover; five grandchildren, Gina A. Bloom, Richie Giangrant both of Dover, Joey Davidson of Elkton, Md., and Victor and Artie Giangrant of Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church South State St., Dover. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. Family suggests donations in her memory to the American Cancer Society 92 Reeds Way Suite 205 New Castle, De 19720. Arrangements are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc. Dover.
