MILFORD - Joseph Rossi Jr. of Milford died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at home. He was 65.
He was born in Wilmington to the late Joseph and Marian Rossi Sr.
Mr. Rossi worked as a grounds keeper for the Georgetown Apartments.
Previously, he worked for over 20 years with LD Caulk as a general compounder.
Mr. Rossi also worked at Hollywood Diner as a dishwasher for more than 10 years.
He was a workaholic and was very upset when he realized that he could not go back to work due to his illness.
Mr. Rossi was an avid movie buff and enjoyed the classics.
He also enjoyed the classic television shows, including "Green Acres," "Sanford and Son" and "Bonanza" to name a few.
Mr. Rossi enjoyed listening to his country music.
He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson.
Mr. Rossi will be deeply missed by his family and close friends, and they will forever remember his great sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Cody Rossi.
Mr. Rossi is survived by his daughters, Christina Rossi of Milford and JoAnn M. Kennard of Lincoln; sisters, Doreen Wrightsman of Milford, Nancy Ward of Milford, Pam Dawson of Felton and Patty Hayes of Milford; friendly ex-wife, Alice Ladd of Lincoln; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Highway, Harrington, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
