SMYRNA - Joseph Marino passed away on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016 at Pinnacle Health Care in Smyrna. He was born Dec. 26, 1920 in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of the late Battista and Antonietta Marino. He was a proud WWII veteran, serving his country with honor in the US Navy. Joseph retired as a Sheet Metal Worker from Local 19 of Philadelphia, Pa. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Marietta; two sons; seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and his sister, Rose. A visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Faries Funeral, located at 29 S. Main St., Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 12 p.m. Burial will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear at a later date. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
