Joseph J. Cane, 77

OCEAN VIEW - Joseph J. Cane, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, in Christiana Care Hospital in Wilmington. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jeanette A. (Franceschini) Cane; their children, Joseph N. Cane and his wife Sandra, Carol L. Allen and her husband Wayne, Stephen A. Lane and his wife Joyce, Laura A. Meile and her husband Kevin, Gregory Cane and his wife Jean, Paul Cane and his wife Melinda; a brother, Gene L. Cane; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday Jan. 6, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bethany Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to be made to Salesianum Scholarship Fund,1801 N. Broom St, Wilmington, DE. 19802 in Joseph's memory. Arrangements by Melson Funeral Services of Ocean View.
