BRIDGEVILLE - Joseph H. Ellis Jr. of Bridgeville died Thursday, April 19, 2007, in his home. He was 66.

He was born July 18, 1940, in Wilmington, the son of the late Joseph H. Ellis Sr. and Dorothy Warren Ellis of Bridgeville.

Mr. Ellis worked at O.A. Newton in Bridgeville for 35 years.

He spent his time tinkering in his workshop and being around his children and grandchildren who he loved dearly.

He also enjoyed watching his grandson, Justin play his Little League games and his travel baseball games.

Mr. Ellis had attended Oakley Church in Oakley.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Winfred "Bud" Bush.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Conley Ellis of 40 years; five children and spouses, Mildred "Sissy" and Michael Wyre of Kissimmee, Fla., Joseph and Terry Ellis III of Newark, Eric Conley of San Antonio, Timothy and Dawn Ellis of Cambridge, Md., Kimberly Ellis and George Hignutt of Greenwood; 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and his mother, Dorothy Ellis of Bridgeville.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Fleischauer Funeral Home in Greenwood.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Interment will be held at St. Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood.
