HARTLY, Del. - Joseph Frank Possert passed away on January 25, 2022, peacefully at home.
Mr. Possert was born on July 4, 1932, in Odxaci, in the former Yugoslavia. Joe could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. Before retirement he served in the United States Air Force, manufactured surgical instruments, and owned a motel in Vermont with his wife Charlotte.
Joe enjoyed being around family & friends and cooking with the fresh vegetables and spices he would harvest from his backyard garden. He liked to work with his hands crafting unique items while he listened to music and living the country life. He was a member of the Dover Modern Maturity Center.
Mr. Possert was preceded in death by Charlotte, his wife of 53 years, who passed in 2017. He is survived by his daughter, Christine Kilmetis of Levittown, N.Y.; son, Joseph Possert of Oceanside, N.Y.; cousin, Madie Unterdorfer of Austria; and twin grandchildren, Dylan and Hannah Kilmetis.
