GEORGETOWN - Joseph F. Wilkinson, of Georgetown, passed on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at Harrison House, Georgetown. He was 59. Joseph was born on Nov. 17, 1948, in Milford, to the late Joseph Warren Wilkinson and his mother who survives him Barbara Ann Jewell Wilkerson of Georgetown. Mr. Wilkinson worked for the state of Delaware, Woodbridge School District, Bridgeville, as a custodian. He was well loved and he devoted himself to helping the handicapped boys at the Salvation Army Home. Joseph loved racing and football; he was a Jeff Gordon fan, Redskins fan, and he loved Dolly Parton. He is survived by, in addition to his mother, one brother, Charles Wilkerson of Millsboro; two sisters, JoAnn Darling of Sharptown, Md., and Dusty Lucas of Texas; and a very close nephew, Joseph F. Willey of Seaford. Services were held at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S Washington St., Millsboro. Pastor Bob Hudson officiated. Interment was held in Carey's Cemetery near Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1138 Parsons Road, Salisbury, MD 21801; or the Harrison House, 110 W North St., Georgetown, DE 19947 in memory of Joseph Wilkinson.
