Joseph Edward McCoy Jr.

McCoy Jr., 83 DOVER - Joseph Edward McCoy Jr.,formerly of Henderson, Md. passed away on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 in Capitol Healthcare Services. He was born on Jan. 8, 1929 in Darby, Pa. to the late Joseph E, Sr and Ellen May Note McCoy. Mr. McCoy worked for Kraft Foods of Dover retiring in 1988. He also worked his farm in Henderson, which brought him great pleasure. His hobbies included raising horses, music and model trains. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Goldsboro. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Mary Jean Proud McCoy; one daughter, Ruth Ellen Braden and husband Thomas of Goldsboro, Md.; two sons, Jay McCoy and wife Bridget of Queenstown, Md. and Gary McCoy and wife Brenda of Dover; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren. A funeral service will be Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at 2 p.m in the Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home. Pastor Larry Hanifee will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greensboro Cemetery.
