GEORGETOWN, Del. - Joseph Edward Beck passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in Newark, Del. Joe was born in Milford, Del. the son of the late Judgeson Warren and Margaret (Shaw) Beck.
He served in Vietnam as a member of the U. S. Marines. He worked as an electrician at the Seaford Dupont Nylon Plant for many years before retiring. Joe was a member of the V.F.W. Post 4961 and the American Legion Post # 6, both in Seaford. He loved antique cars and attending car shows as well as welding and woodworking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Kathleen Beck and two brothers Larry Beck and Richard Beck.
He is survived by his wife, Mina (McDorman) Beck; three stepdaughters, Heather, Patricia and Victoria; three sisters, Ruth, Marian and Patricia; a daughter, Mara; and a son, Joseph, Jr.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Timothy and Patricia; as well as 13 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Joseph will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022, at the Seaford V.F.W. Post # 4961, 9767 Middleford Road, Seaford, Del. where military honors will follow.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Seaford V.F.W. Post 4961, 9767 Middleford Road, Seaford, DE 19973.
