Joseph Allen Cox Jr. passed away Sunday Dec. 17th, 2017 in his home surrounded by his family. Born Nov. 25th, 1952 in Milford, DE. To Gertrude D. Cox and the late Joseph A. Cox Sr.. Allen followed in his father's footsteps as an automotive mechanic. He, also, worked as a carpenter for Warren Construction for many years. Family and friends were everything to him. Allen never met a stranger, he would help anyone do anything! Along with his Mother, Gertrude Cox; he is survived by a brother, Ken Cox & his wife Darlene; as well as 6 children, Amy Cox-Frazier and her husband Flash, Bubba J. Cox and his wife Julie, Liz Cox, Joe Cox 3rd, Amber Cox & Billy Joe Cox. His significant other, Jane Toy. His ex-wife/ longtime friend Donna Bonneville. 12 grandchildren, Sam, Taylor, Gertie, Chum, Bubba Jr., Alilyah, Envy, Junior, Joe 4th, Lucas, Payton & Jadyn. As well as 3 great-grandchildren and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, William J. Cox and 2 nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Little Creek Fire Company Social Hall on Dec. 30th from 4-7 p.m.. Burial will be private.
