Joseph Adair Rhodes

MARYDEL - Joseph Adair Rhodes, Sr. passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover. He was born on May 25, 1943 in Miami, Fla. to the late Luther J. and Nodeana Leffingwell Rhodes. Mr. Rhodes was a custom woodworker for Tanglewood Conservatories of Denton, Md. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Charlotte Sego Rhodes; his three children, Robert Steele and wife Ann of Felton, Lori Ann Steele of Frederica and Joseph A. Rhodes, Jr. of Salisbury, Md.; a brother, Luther J. Rhodes, Jr. of Destin, Fla.; three sisters, Jackie Cooper of Okeechobee, Fla., Betty June Rhodes and Marlene Faxon both of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; and nine grandchildren. A visitation for Mr. Rhodes will be held on Wednesday, April 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro, Md. His graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23 in the Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. The family asks that donations be made in Mr. Rhodes memory to the Marydel Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 400, Marydel, Del. 19943.
