Dover - Jonathan Thea Tue (Sarge) is now in eternal life with the Lord. He was born in Dover on Jan. 8, 1956 and was the son of the late Dorothy Tue. In line with African American traditions, his childhood Sundays were dedicated to church and Jonathan faithfully attended Sunday school and church services with his family. It was during this time that Jonathan gave God his heart and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. This spiritual transformation marked his greatest achievement and serves as a lasting memory in the hearts and minds of those who loved him. His life was filled with many adventures, discoveries, and transitions as a child and as an adult. Jonathan demonstrated patriotism and love for his country by joining the US Army in 1991. One of the highlights of his military career was his exciting experiences in Germany. In 1993 SGT Jonathan Tue received an honorable discharge from the Army and continued to exhibit love for his country by joining the Army Reserves where he proudly served 20 years to the time of his death. Jonathan was a free-spirited individual who enjoyed fishing, playing marbles, and listening to music in the company of friends. He was a novice musician who enjoyed singing and playing his guitar for entertainment. He continued to share his musical talents as a DJ at many community social functions. Jonathan is survived by his father, Julius Joseph; two uncles, Phil Tue and James Duffy; three aunts, Gladys B. Tue, Alonia Walker Tue, and Lola M. Tue; a special cousin, Olivia Tue Smith; many Army Reserve buddies, relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, W.
