MARYDEL, DE - Johnnie Ray Gardner, died on July 20, 2012 in his home. He was born in West Virginia on Feb. 2, 1954 to the late Hershey E. and Marie Fox Gardner. Johnnie was employed with J.L. Dalton and Sons. He is survived by four children, Johnnie R Gardner, Jr., Donna, Crystal and Jessica; his fiancé, Mary Ellen Clough; one sister, Elizabeth Dittis; one brother-in-law, James L. Dalton, Sr.; two nephews, Jimmy and Keith;, four nieces, to whom he was very close to, Janet, Selena, Mary and Lisa. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W Sunset Ave, Greensboro, where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Greensboro Cemetery.
