DOVER - John (Jack) W. Webb unexpectedly passed on to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thurs., Jun. 4, 2015 at Kent General Hospital. John was born Oct. 29, 1946 in Glen Burnie, Md. to the late Andrew Webb and Annie Naegele Webb. He was a graduate of Glen Burnie High School, Anne Arundel Community College and University of Baltimore. He served as a Police Officer for 45 years in Baltimore and Annapolis, Md., Jackson, Tenn., and Dover, Delaware Capitol Police Departments. John recently began working with Kent/Sussex Counseling Service. He was a member of the Baltimore City F.O.P. Lodge 3 and an active member of Wyoming United Methodist Church serving on several committees. John was a sprint triathlete and enjoyed running 5 and 10k races. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, George Webb. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Louise Hadsall Webb of Dover; daughters, Terri Daubert and her husband, Christopher of Pasadena, Md., Sandy Robinson and her husband, David of Laurel, Md.; Louise's children, Bernard Phillips and his wife, Cheryl of Denton, Md., Kristen Smith and her husband, Randell of Cold Spring, KY; and siblings, Joyce and James Webb of Pasadena, Md., Joanne Leuschner and her husband, Donald of Bel Air, Md.; grandchildren, Jakob, Augustus and Gideon Daubert, Louis, Sloane and Ethan Phillips, Caitlynn and Anna Smith; and great-granddaughter, Emelia Phillips. John had a big heart and a laugh at life sense of humor. He coached his daughter's soft ball teams and always opened his home to friends and family. If you asked people about John Webb you would hear he was a great father, husband, and friend who always focused on the positive in life. His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ was above all and he lived by the Scripture Micah 6:8 "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." A Memorial service will be held on Jun. 20, 2015 at 3 P.M. at the Wyoming United Methodist Church, 216 Wyoming Mill Road, Dover, DE 19904. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Wyoming UMC Building Fund, the American Cancer Society in honor of his mother or a charity of choice.
