BRIDGEVILLE - John "Deweese" Todd, of Bridgeville, died at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. He was 76. John was born May 5, 1936 in Hickman, Md., the son of the late Charles and Bessie Todd. He worked at the DuPont plant in Seaford, retiring in 1992 after 35 years of service. John enjoyed gardening and woodworking, and helping people in need. He was a good husband and father. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two grandchildren and nine siblings. John was survived by his wife, Carol Friedel Todd of 55 wonderful years of marriage; four children and their spouses, Curtis and Deborah Todd of Greenwood, Michael and Lisa Todd of Frankford, Linda and Nelson Milam of Bridgeville, Beverly and Duane Jones of Seaford; five grandchildren, Travis, Laura, Jason, John, and Stephanie; and two sisters, Doretta Quillen of Federalsburg, Md. and Rosalie Kirby of Belair, Md. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 West Market St., Greenwood, DE 19950. Viewing will be held one hour prior to funeral services. Interment will be held at Bloomery Cemetery, Federalsburg, Md.
