John Thomas Petrovich, 50

NEAVITT, Md. - John Thomas Petrovich, of Neavitt, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008, at Easton Memorial Hospital. He was 50.

John was born July 15, 1957, in Dover, Del.

He was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School, Camden, Del., Class of 1975.

John was most recently employed with SMI Site Development, Bowie, as a field superintendent, and formerly worked for Bryan & Sons of Easton.

He was an avid fisherman, fishing on the Choptank River and Broad Creek, and enjoyed spending time with his dogs.

John was preceded in death by his father, Theodore "Pete" Petrovich, on June 20, 2003; and a sister, Mary Frances Coxe Shannon, on April 5, 2003.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Petrovich of Wyoming, Del.; siblings, Marilyn Coxe Whiteley and her husband Robert of Marietta, Ga., Eugene Petrovich and his wife Deborah of Wyoming and Tina Petrovich of Easton; nephews, Richard Shannon and Robert Shannon, both of Fayetteville, N.C., and Adam Petrovich of Wyoming; nieces Jennifer Becton of Marietta and Gina Petrovich of Wyoming; and his friend and companion, Karen Cunningham of Neavitt.

An evening visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Services will be noon Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, Del.
